I remember back in the days of dial up, internet not being an essential as it is now, celebs weren't updating us at twitter,
I used to watch my shows like Dawson's Creek spoiler free, like it didn't even occur to me that spoilers exist,
I had to watch to find out that Joey picks Pacey...I had to even follow the show to know there was gonna be a Joey-Pacey hook up.
Were those better days? I mean now I can't even imagine myself being spoiler-free.

Wow, haven't actually posted in my journal for so long and I hate myself having to pay for this account just because I'm an icon whore. Anyway definitely needs changed, but too tired and lazy to do anything about it now, having caught up with my Sunday and Monday shows (Yes, I have no life, currently revolves around sleep, work, TV SHOWS, facebook and occassionally twitter)

What a waste of a paid account!  I haven't posted for so long yet so many stuff has happened! (Blame it on facebook, which I'm currently addicted to)
I moved to another country, living away from my family and friends, fortunately I'm adjusting quite well and have made new friends.
Ships have come and gone...well I never really jumped any ships but some may have been put to the back burner than others. New infatuations, Alex Skarsgard and slow burn love, Chris Evans (watched him in other movies before but I've never been so attracted to him until I'd seen The Loss of the Teardrop diamond) and fangirlish squeals over Spock/Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine (yeah, was never into the fandom until the reboot movie)

Having a fine summer so far, it has been warm and sunny this week but who knows, it might rain the next. Northern Ireland is unpredictable like that.

I had to leave all my dvd, books and beloved shoes behind, but I'm trying to start a new collection here. Thank god for free shipping which I never had full advantage before. I now get to experience to work for my own wages and splurging on what else? dvd, books and shoes! Plus I had to buy new sunglasses (Dior) because I never expected to experience sunlight, the cost hurt me quite a bit, but a girl can never overindulge herself right?

Having to go to the university is quite a drag..well not really because I get to enjoy spending time with my new found friends, I just hate the homework part of it. Anyway, nice catching up, almost midnight here and I have to wake up early tomorrow for work...3 straight 12-hour work days again! arrrggg...

I started Britannia High yesterday after downloading the full series 1.
I'm almost through with Episode 8 and here's what I think so far.

but I just have to say
this week's episode was WAY awesome!
Series 7 is really good.
I didn't think I'd like Ros...but she kicks ass.
and Lucas is as gorgeous as always.
From the teaser, next week is gonna be exciting!
I can't wait! 

Apparently Lucas calls Peyton 'Pretty Girl' in this week's episode
and BLers online are going batshit over it.
Thank god I didn't have to see it because I would just be fuming MAD!
There are just some things that you don't do!

Finally! After starting The Host last Oct 11, I've finished it at last. (Reading it on-off, with Dengue fever, UK Student Visa application and detouring to The Truth About Diamonds to delay me)

It was really hard to get into....it started to become interesting halfway through the book. 
And it wasn't like Nick and Norah's that had so much beautiful quotes all throughout to have me giddy page by page.
But after reading it, It still left me *squeeing* and *awwwww-ing*

When I read the synopsis, I thought I'd be drawn in the Wanda/Mel/Jared triangle...
but it came a surprise that I rooted for Wanda/Ian after all.
I just didn't warm up to the Jared character that much and Mel could be quite annoying.

Despite the slow start, it was still a great read...and so much more different from Twilight....less cheesy...or I could say not cheesy at all?


I dunno If there would be a movie or what..but I'll try hard not to cast it on my head...people on LJ already did...Sophia Bush for Wanda and Ian Somerhalder and Drew Fuller for Ian. I dunno, I just would because if they weren't cast then I'd be disappointed. At least when I read Twilight, I already knew Kristen and Rob were casted.

Which reminds me! My Twilight Saga boxset from Amazon still hasn't arrived! I'm waiting for me to get on to the remaining 3 books....

The new season of Spooks is really GOOD!
I may be biased because of Richard Armitage,
but it's really exciting so far...and yay didn't have trouble catching up.
It's pretty sad though that Rupert Penry-Jones left the show.
It would have been awesome having 2 eye candies.

I love Richard's Lucas North! He's very mysterious and brooding.
It's funny that I swoon everytime he's on screen.
Even his name is sexy. Lucas North....his surname puts a smile on my face
because I'm reminded of North and South:D 

eeeeeeeek!!! I just caught up with the latest 3 episodes of House and....House/Cuddy is so ON!!!! They kissed! And the expression before the kiss was....just *awww*

Now, I'm gonna start with Spooks' Season 7....I've only seen Season 1 of Spooks because of Matthew Macfadyen and Keeley Hawes (I found out they hooked up on the show IRL) but not on the show which I really wanted them to.

So I'm back on the show because of Mr. Thornton Richard Armitage!!!  I saw the preview and he was so hot in it...I'm crazy about him again because I rewatched North and South a week ago. Plus another reason to watch is Rupert Penry Jones whom I found hot watching Persuasion.

I'm just worried I won't get into it because I've missed six seasons!

Damn, The CW sucks at promotion! 
I never heard of Valentine until I checked for Dexter and Brothers & Sisters at eztv torrent uploads and saw it along the list of Sunday shows.
The title made me curious so I  IMDbed it.
It has LILA!!! And Autumn Reeser.


Synopsis:
The Pilot is cute...it has a 'Pushing Daisies meets Enchanted' whimsical feel to it.
So it got my attention, another show added on my Fall TV watchlist
I just hope it won't get cancelled after just a few episodes or one season, 
I really hate investing my emotions just to get it canned...I hate 'em networks.
I'm still bitter over Moonlight.

I totally blame my brother for this.
For liking this type of music and have to listen to it over and over
around the house.

Then one day, I think I was in a cab then the song
Hero/Heroin was playing over the radio
The traffic was heavy so I had all time to concentrate on the lyrics.

It's not that I can relate over the lyrics but I thought it was pretty.
Can't believe it because I usually tease my brother for listening to shitty music.
Now listening to Fall For You makes it a guilty pleasure for me.
I SO don't wanna admit that I like these songs...haha







 

Books I've read this week:


+ Nights in Rodanthe left me feeling depressed. I was like 'oh c'mon!' But I new the ending whilst reading the first chapter. I still wanna watch the movie though, only for Richard Gere and Diane Lane reunion.







Things I liked about Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist + Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List

+ My So-Called Life references. Reading the text, I totally pictured Angela complaining to Rayanne about Jordan Catalano in Claire Danes' voice. (from Nick and Norah's)

+ The emo-ness of Nick's song for Norah.

+ The mention of Boys and their love for the Beatles and The Ultimate Love Song is 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand'.  Because love is as simple as wanting to hold their hand.

+ The Language. It's as if reading the text as your own thoughts.

+ Relatable. Like totally.

+ Dawson's Creek and Buffy references. Naomi believes in Pacey and Joey's true love whereas Ely shipped D/J but Naomi's totally right judging by the finale. How you have to make sacrifices like Buffy having to kill her true love Angel.

+ Quoting the Notebook. Having a character (Bruce the First, from Naomi and Ely's) quote and 'love' Nicholas Sparks.

+ Having to say to yourself, 'Damn. I really enjoyed this book!' after finish reading it. (Both books) and occassionally pausing whilst reading to *sqee* and *lol*

Took a week-long trip and felt like I was out of net-civilization.
During my return, I was finally able to catch up with all my shows that aired for the entire week.
But I feel like It's too late to blog about my reactions already so maybe I'll just do a rundown.

+ Heroes. It's getting good again! It has sucked me back in!

+ Brothers and Sisters. Justin & Rebecca making out = yay.

+ 90210. Hmm Naomi & Ethan broke up again. But it's okay, I know they're one of those couples who are never over. I like how they did it though, it wasn't ugly...it was amicable. Naomi needs to fix her issues and Ethan needs to get together with Annie to get her out of his system. I finally decided that I like Annie with Ty.

+ Grey's Anatomy. Not much of Alex & Izzie. Alex is reverting to being a jerk. But no worries, they are so on.

+ House. As is House + Cuddy (They are so on!). Like Lucas the PI. I was never a Wilson fangirl. Loved Dr. Chase, "This is why I won't let Cameron get a cat."

+ Dirty Sexy Money. There's still hope for Nick + Karen! Simon's showed his true colors. Very interesting premiere.

+ Private Practice. Hmmm.they are prolonging Pete and Addison...I don't mind.

+ CSI NY. I want Emmanuelle Vaugier back! I want Flack + Angell banter/flirtation.

+ The Mentalist. Enjoying show. Simon and Robin will they won't they chemistry!

+ Criminal Minds. The premiere was a bit of a letdown. Predictable bad guys. Navid! and the 24 terrorist guy.

Tired now...watched other shows but nothing too significant to mention.

It's so sad what happened, rest in peace to those who didn't make it.
I was never a fan or anything but hearing that Adam is severely burned is making me all kinds of depressed.
I hope he makes it. I wonder how Nicole is taking it...
I feel bad for Travis too, at least Shanna went to be with him.
